Once you cast-off, use the left and right arrow keys to direct your hook to try and catch a fish. It'll keep descending until it reaches the end of your line, so make sure to grab something!

Bring your catch back up to the surface and make a fortune. Or, at the very least, a little more than a pittance. 

When you're at the surface, press X to use your new found riches to buy a longer fishing line, and delve for rarer (and more expensive) fish!
